National Science Foundation - REU Program for Digital Forensics and Cyber Security
Are you an undergraduate student from a U.S college or university looking for an exciting research experience during the summer of 2012?
Digital Forensics is the application of forensic science techniques to the acquisition and analysis of evidence that exists in digital form (e.g. evidence found in files on hard drives, in emails, in network activity, etc). Cyber Security is the protection of computer systems and networks, and the information they hold, from attacks that deny service or inappropriately access information. The University of Rhode Island is a recognized leader in Digital Forensics and Cyber Security research.
The NSF REU for Digital Forensics and Cyber Security Research at the University of Rhode Island is looking for undergraduate students with background in computer science and/or digital forensics and/or information assurance who:
- Are interested in digital forensics and cyber security.
- Who want to participate in cutting edge projects and technology.
- Are interested in working with interdisciplinary specialists on real-world projects.
