Digital Forensics is the application of forensic science techniques to the acquisition and analysis of evidence that exists in digital form (e.g. evidence found in files on hard drives, in emails, in network activity, etc). The University of Rhode Island offers one of the most comprehensive degree programs in digital forensics through a Computer Science Department at a major university

is looking for undergraduate students with background in computer science and/or digital forensics who:

  • Are interested in digital forensics.
  • Who want to participate in cutting edge projects and technology.
  • Are interested in working with interdisciplinary specialists on real-world projects.
Participants
  • Must be an enrolled undergraduate student and a US citizen or permanent resident.
  • Will receive a stipend and living allowance.
  • Will be mentored in the research process and assisted in publishing their work.
Special consideration will be given to applicants from groups underrepresented in science and from universities and colleges that do not have an established research program in computer science.
