How to Apply

  1. Requirements
    • You must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
    • You must be enrolled as an undergraduate student at a university or college.
    • Read the general prerequisites, and the project specific prerequisites (listed on the projects pages).

  2. Find a Project
    • Read the REU introduction to gain a general understanding of the REU program.
    • Read through the projects pages to find a project that fits your background and interests.
    • Contact the project supervisor to discuss the specifics of what you could contribute to the project.

  3. Apply
    • Download, print and complete the application form.
    • Obtain a copy of your college transcript.
    • Mail your application and transcript to:
